I need to replace the carb on the Baja I recently bought. Was going to get a single webber/empi kit but a mate just offered me a 350 holley for free.
Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and if so, where do you get manifold/adaptor. Any thoughts on any carb options would be
appreciated.

I think that a 4 bolt Holley is the same manifold as a single Weber.
350 Holley's work really well on little dakdaks!
Use an isolated manifold with tubes close together not far apart like an IDF Weber, same as all the history books show (or Google pics of a
centremount Zenith to see what it will look like), throw some 58 or 60 or so jets into it with a 8.5 power valve, and you should be close. You won't
find a Holley bolt pattern manifold, you will either have to "adapt and overcome" with a bit of flat plate and some bolts, or weld up your own
intake. Depending on the engine capacity and cam overlap you also sometimes need a slot cut into the manifold plate to cure a mid-range stumble, but
if you can keep both barrels separate they will get better instant response.
Excellent float control over rough ground (or after a quick launch..........), easy to adjust and jet, amazingly tolerant of dirt and muck inside
them, and with the power valve set up you can have economical cruise and full power with no flat spot ever. All you might need is a PVCR restriction
on the littlies like 1584s, and also on the littlies sometimes an idle air restriction (OR fit annular boosters into them
PS: Scratch "Weber" into the side of the thing to have any chance whatsoever of any street cred though.
Thanks for the info. Will look further into it. Was hoping to buy a manifold off the shelf but will have see if I can sort out getting something
fabricated. I would definitely like to go down this path over a Webber. As for street cred, I've already got a Weber; it cooks good steaks.
