I have a new steering box and front end, I can't adjust the play out of the steering. If I tighten the adjuster it just stiffens up the steering but the exess play is still there, just stiffer. Is there another adjustment?

You really need the workshop manual so you can follow how to do the 2 adjustments available on the box.

However, I saying this those TRW boxes aren't great and my new one properly adjusted still has 15mm of steering wheel play but only to the left. Right has no play and no stiffness in either direction.

I think I have the later box with only the one adjustment on top of the box or is there two adjustments on mine too?

They've all got 2 adjustments but most people don't know where the worm drive adjuster is.
