Front Quarter or Inner Guard for 58 Beetle
Paul Smith - January 18th, 2015 at 08:08 PM

I bought an N.O.S. front quarter or inner guard to suit a 58. It doesn't look like I'll need it anymore so I'm curious what other years it'll fit so I know when I go to sell it.

I beleive it should fit anything upto 68 when they changed to upright headlights.

There are a couple of differences after 58. One of them is the fuel tank support.

It's the one on the right.

My bad. I forgot about the bumper mount changing to outside the wing too. 67> changed to bumper mount under the wing instead of inside spare wheel well. Except for the 1200 model that still used the wheel well mount until 73. Then it all went Europa bumper.

pre 60 inner quarter dont have an indent in the wheel arch (early fuel tank)..yours look like they are post 60 quarters (later fuel tanks for more storage space)...either way the will fit both but would need mods to wheel arch and possibly bumper mounts, depending on year.

I'm only talking about the one on the right and it is for early (higher) fuel tank. I'm guessing then that it will probably work up to 1960?
