Battery charger / jumpstart - booster brick
Euro_67 - March 15th, 2015 at 08:07 PM

So, after facing yet another flat battery in the '67 and a the untimely passing of my SuperCrap Auto jump starter box and my inherited 12V battery charger I'm on the hunt for a new solution.

12v Battery charger.
Projecta 5400MA (A8500)
I like the look of this one, as it has a boost function that will (with a good but just flat battery) get the battery charged sufficiently in 5 mins to start the engine.

Kincrome
Multifunction Jump starter

This looks like the booster to get. Slow battery drain in storage. Multiple starts between charges and compact, plus charges lots of other devices.

Does anyone have any feedback on these products, or have suggestions on similar or better models?

Thanks

The lithium ion jumpers are awesome.

How about disconnect the battery when stored?

A small C-Tek charger that you can leave connected for long periods?

Buy a good quality battery that will last for a long time unused. If your battery needs jumpstarting, you are damaging the battery by letting it get that flat in the first place.

This doesn't appear to charge car batteries.

x2 these are fantastic, fit into the glove box and I just used one on the weekend to start a Harley. (It's not mine)!

Update.
I purchased the Projecta AC800 5400MA battery charger.

After about 5 mins on the 25A car start cycle the battery was charged sufficiently to start the engine.
Highly recommended at this stage.

here is a sort or a review of one. Well the guy blows electrical shit up with his "big boy's power supply" and put this one he came across to some heavy testing so you really get to see how well it works.

I have had a 6volt deep cycle battery and a c-tek charger on my Ghia for over 4 years with no problems I use it every now and then but when I do want to use it it starts.I had a lot of batteries fail in about the 6 month period prior to spending the extra few bucks for the deep cycle and the c-tek to maintain it.

I bought this for my motorbike https://sydneymotorcycleaccessories.com.au/oxford-oximiser-900-battery-charge...

And it is brilliant on my Kombi as well. great thing is it keeps battery at optimal charge and prolongs life.

I know its not a Booster, but no need for one when this is used
