Hey guru's, got a 5/71 Superbug and need front and rear window seals.
Currently the rear has faded plastic insert and the front has chrome metal insert.
Very confused as to which seals I need to buy as all the sites (CIP1, VW Heritage, Just Kampers) list none for my year or different ones.
Any ideas??

Hmm, wasn't 71 still the flat screen 1302 being made? If so I believe it to have the same front and rear screen as a normal bug of the year. Rear screen could have changed in 71. Will be either 408 or 449mm high. Metal trim for 408 and plastic for 449. I've found a set that takes metal trim for 64-71 altho out of stock at present but can't see just the front rubber listed for metal trim only plastic variety.

VW Heritage is one of the best sites I've found for comprehensive parts listing to help find exactly what you need. Wolfsburg West are also pretty good but not sure if they stock for later years like yours. West Coast metric aren't too bad though heard some of their rubbers don't fit quite so well. CIP1 are good but their way of listing parts can make it easy to miss what you're after

Give Das Resto a call. They stock Wolfsburg West and will know what you need. Or Vintage VW who stock WCM. WW tend to be cheaper than WCM. I don't have WW seals but I bought their door rebuild kit and it seems to be very good quality
