LED blinker/reverse/tail bulbs

As the subject says, will I have any problems running these type of bulbs as a straight swap over to standard bulbs?
Intend to run all bulbs in my Type 3 as led's.

I think there is a special flasher that you need. There are a few Guys on here that have done and can explain properly. Did you search for topics on
this already?

Yeah I did search and either nothing or I have wrong search criteria.

Yep all my kombi globes are LED except generator light which need the globes resistance to operate the charging system. Also have LED flasher unit.

Need an LED flasher and if you use LED for the generator then need to measure resistance of old bulb and put 1W resistor is parallel with the new LED
bulb. This will allow the regulator to work properly.

Thanks Barls!

No generator issue, running a Suby. So can anyone suggest a flasher unit. I found them on ebay for $12 of course China but also Bosch for $48.
Just buy the quality unit and be done with it or the others are fine?

Try these guys Vehicle wiring
products
Even with the exchange rate and a few quid for postage they could be better than paying $48. That is a rip off. Even $12 for a chinese one ain't
great unless it's free shipping included.

You can find on ebay now, led bulbs with a resistor, so You can use them with normal flasher cans, plus, many new cars with computers don't like the
"wrong" resistance showing for LED bulbs without the correct resistance. or the resistors are also for sale on ebay..
I just found some great tail/stop bulbs with "COB" LEDs in them...
well, I just searched ebay and couldn't find these bulbs??
they fit into the normal 12v VW tail lamps and replace the 12v 5w/21w bulb with offset pins..
If You run an alternator in Your VW, You cannot use an led in the dash, as it needs to be the correct bulb [resistance] for the alternator to
work...
