1968 vw beetle original vehicle weight
Buck bug - June 20th, 2016 at 06:43 AM
Hi all I need a photo of the spec page from an original beetle workshop manual for 1968 bug as I need to prove original weight for my conversion. I
called the transport department modification line and they don't have a listing (stupid) so they said I need at least a photo or copy of original
workshop manual listing vehicle weight to show the engineer and the bloke doing the mod plate confirmed that so if anyone can help out that would be
awesome thanks.

I think i've got one from a 69 bug, would that work for you?

Might do. So far I've seen weights listed at 740kg 790kg 800kg 840kg and 960kg for a 68 bug I need to find an accurate original vehicle weight.

I was pretty sure they were about 820kg and this seems to back it up.

Hi
Do You need a light weight or a heavy weight???
I have lots of manuals to look at...
1968 and 1969 should be identical.....
min unladen weight 800kgs
max weight laden 1180kgs
this is from Autobooks VW BEETLE 1954-1978
i CAN CHECK OTHERS IF YOU LIKE AND CAN EMAIL THEM TO YOU

Unladen bud the lowest I've seen so far is 760kg
But that's fine as it still allows me the conversion I'm doing.
Thanks for your help fellas.
