Just a VIN and Engine No. question
67Deluxe - October 11th, 2002 at 11:19 AM

Hey Guys,

I was just looking at my registration slip and was looking at the VIN number of my car. I know the car is an early 67' before the 12volts and 1500 kicked in (pretty much a 66' made in 67), but the VIN is 197645143. Does anyone know what the 9 is? shouldn't it be a 1, or does that mean it was an australian made dub?
Just curious.
The other weird thing is that the Engine No. is H 0 931158? Isn't that a 1500 44hp? Maybe i'm just ignorant, but i was just wondering if someone could tell me a little more about it. The Australian 66' still had the heater turn knob and horn ring didn't it?
Cool, thanks guys,
Tim.

Yes the 9 indicates that the car was made in Australia and the 7 indicates its a 1967 model.
