Just wondering how much chopping of the tinware is required to fit a bigger engine into a small oval engine bay... I presume that's using the
larger tinware of the larger engine and mashing it to fit?

I just did this on my car, the engine I installed came with the front tinware from a 1500(I think), I just used tin-snips and a hacksaw to cut it down. I guess I cut around 2 inches from the side which fits to the motor. If you trial fit it you will see where it needs to be cut.
