i was wanting to paint the pan on my square, could anyone give some advice or the name of some products to use??
i have read that POR 15® Rust Preventive Paint is the stuff to use, has anyone used it, if so where did you buy it from, how much was it and how
much do i need??
any info would be much appreciated
thanks
do a search as this has been covered several time
that said try European
auto paint at Brendale, 1L will set you back 100~120 and will do the pan with some left over. Its the best don't waste your time with anything
else.
do it propperly with all the prep they suggest like the metal etch etc.. as i read somewhere that someone just cleaned the pan and painted it strait
on and waist
ed $120 !:alien
For all the info go to http://www.ppc.au.com. PPC are the Australian agents for POR
stuff. The web site lists all the resellers around the country. They also sell by mail order. I found it a bit cheaper to buy direct from PPC and
pay for postage than buying from the Victorian reseller.
It looks great when it goes on, no brush marks or blemishes and it dries fairly quickly. Like Skewy said, follow the instructions and use the
suggested prep procedure. However, it may work out cheaper to sand blast the pan first than use the "marine clean" and "metal
ready", as these POR prep products are also fairly exy. One litre POR 15 is $66 from PPC and 1L Metal Ready is $26. Good luck with the
