Anyone have experience with positioning audio speakers in a '77 Bus?
Someone told me subwoofers go a bit bananas in the cavernous space of a bus. Is this true?
How much room do you have - its awesome .. 6x9's in the front doors, as well as behind the front seat, under the back seat (if you have a fold
out bed) and also above the back door ...
Sub under the back seat - between the two 6x9's
Two little 3" speakers in the vents in the front dash
A luttle LCD monitor that slides out in the centre console, with the carputer under it, that holds all of the movies ... get this setup and
you'll have a none stop grin ... ear to ear :bounce:bounce:bounce:bounce
Don't put in all of the 6x9's cause it sounds shite ... have a look at some previous posts ... you'll get a heap of ideas
or if you have $70,000 spare try something like this

That is one hectic stereo system!!!!!! I Love it!!!!!!:thumb:thumb
To answer your question it really is up to u and how many speakers youve got, if you want to put a sub in the best place would be under the rear
seat. make some panels and place it between the 6x9's. Front door speakers, i think, are a must (cos thats where u are seated).
But other than that its totally up to u.
GO CRAZY!!!!!!!
Good Luck!:thumb:thumb
To answer the question, "where do speakers go in a Type 2 bus?".....
Anywhere they want to!
Squiz......
I've got 6.5" splits in the front doors and some 6 x 9s off the roof in the back. Nothing around the back seat area because it's a camper and the space under the rear seat is fully packed with odds and ends for camping.
