bein' rough!
Boozer - September 24th, 2003 at 08:24 PM

My dad reckons i'm driving my baja too rough and that it can't handle it. It's not like i'm dropping the clutch all the time and doing burn outs and stuff, I just drive agressively. I've seen my Dad drive my baja rougher than me. What do ya reckon? can bugs handle agressive driving? By the way my baja is a SP 1500 swing axle 62.

The rougher you drive a car any car the quicker they die. Don't make no difference if its a veedub. Obviously a well sorted car will last longer.

I agree, but i'm not trying to be rough on it I just accelerate fast and change gears fast.

I do the same:D i dont speed, i just try to reach the speed limit as fast as i can and chuck my car round corners as hard as i can. My dad is a mechanic and he keeps teling me to calm down, it dosent hurt the car, just wears it out a lot quicker:thumb

After I broke 3 swingaxle gearboxes I started to drive nicer on the car. Now I am like a granny most of the time.

2 gearboxes broke doing general offroading, and one broke doing a burnout (starting in the wet so it would stay still, but died at about the 10th smoky burnout).

murderer! ;)

Drive it as hard as you like, but when you break things, be prepared to either slow down, or replace the breakages with uprated components. :)

Drive it like you stole it:P

the way to do it is to drive like a granny BUT and i stress this point, do it off time...

instead of clutching and chaging gears prior to a turn or roundabout try doing mid way through thus giving the eratic behaviour your after without stressing the beast...

of course this is only if you dont want to stress the beast.... i say hurt the pig and let the pistons fall where they may :)

after all its only money and if you throw enough of it at the problem it will dissapear.. if you cant fund an aggressive dub then dont drive it like one..
