This is for all those people that say Kadrons and 1915's are crap. Here is a car with both of those, and it does 12's down the quarter.
Makes those 13sec stroker fuel injected hill climb race cars look slow

A mate of mine has a set of the AJ Sims stage 6 or 7 heads.
He has a 1776 with 44's and it hauls. California boy...so i havent had a ride in it.
AJ is really getting a name for himself as a head porter.
Worth every penny.
He really knows how to set up them Kadrons.
He also sells a cheap turbo set up for 1600 that is suppose to be pretty good.
"AJ is really getting a name for himself as a head porter."
Yeh. What hotel does he work at?:P
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Plop! - the old laugh my head off trick!
Well at least he doesnt work where my heads were done at - Head Jobs Unlimited! :o

i think stock Kadrons are around 40mm and the engine wouldnt last long at 11.3 : 1
Probally a for gas analyser when tuning.
hey but dont forget these are single throat carbs!
what does berg use on his cars?
well over 50mm dual throats!!!!!!
well im impressed anyway!
That seems like an expensive engine to build. Nice though!
We all know their tracks are down hill and a few feet short
Yes, it's possible - you'll find he's running a leaded racing fuel of about 118 OR and the thing would be utterly undriveable on the street (probably idles at 3000rpm+ and has nothing below 5000 and full throttle.) I know some people are going to jump on this, but venturis are shaped the way they are for a reason - they exist to increase air velocity around the jet at lower revs and partial throttle, while restricting air flow as little as possible. AJ Simms simply machines a single diameter down the center: it increases maximum flow, but must play hell with any lower air speeds. I think any of us that could afford to spend the money such an engine cost would do well to spend it more wisely.
I'll have to agree - I would be inclined to believe this time. The motor would have to be in an early beetle (pre 70's) to keep it light,
and must have other mods (maybe gearbox ratios, slicks, wheelie bar ?)
With triples and the bottom end that motor has got, it should pull the 7 or 8000 revs hes talking about. Must have an *evil* cam in it though.....
47mm kadrons... obviously not stock eh ?
3 bolt intakes indicates a serious port job.
172 hp from 1.92 liters = 89.6 hp / l, which is excellent for a 2V per cylinder, air cooled motor, but still certainly believable. People get over
200hp from their 2.1 - 2.4 type 4's, which is a similar sort of volumetric efficiency.
conclusion - nice drag motor, but street car I think not.
A Vw powered car that is considered quick, perhaps a little undriveable , so tune it down.
Stay with the 1915 cc formula "as its proven to be a winner" but tune it for more driveability. ( and a lot more reliability) .
