hello everybody
i have a very annonying problem, with every touch on the throthle pad the rpm's goes up stays at 1800-2000 rpm's for a few seconds and than drops back to idle.

what could be the reason for that?
any suggestions? where should i check first?

thanx.

make sure that you have the spring return on youre carb and that it is not obstructed at all.

reach down to the pedal and make sure it moves freely :D

had that prob on my L bug.. i learned to live with it.. but it was the return spring that was the fault..

The other thing may be that the cable needs a good coat of grease or it may even be frayed and beginning to catch. A new one would solve it, though grease may be the first thing to try. Too heavy a spring on the carb end just adds pressure to everything
