oil temp?

what should the oil Temp be for a 1916cc motor? what range is ok. and what is over heating? and also who makes the best oil temp gauges?, the most accurate. what sort of cooler should I buy? like one from repco? one of an RX7?

there was heaps there. can you get the hinges that prop the deck lid open for a Karmann Ghia? they do spoil the lines though

VDO Gauges are as good as any and are used by Most VW owners.
You can buy external oil coolers expressly made for VW engines along with adaptor plates etc... as a kit... You will know these Will fit OK... Don't mount the oil cooler across the VW fan as suggested in the kits though,,
check with Mick Motors etc... for prices etc.
