How do you attach this piece of crap to the drum???????????

Its giving me the s$%ts. The smallest pop rivet is too big and no screw will do it. Its the piece of springy metal to stop the shoes adjusters from turning around.

Leave it off Raf!
Or re-drill and tap the holes

There's your problem, it goes on the backing plate, not the drum.......:D:thumb

Yes it goes on the backing plate

you could leave it off as ive never seen and adjuster working loose.

there usually spot welded on Do you have access to a MIG welder a small tack would fix the poroblem.

Yep, I know it goes on the backing plate, sorry for the incorrect description. Unfortunately don't have a welder so I just leave it off?

I've done alot of brake jobs & most of those things after a few decades are pointing skywards anyway & have only a negligible effect on stopping the brass cogs from turning. Keep it anyway & when Santa brings you a MIG, you can zap it back on!

Yes just leave it off,
The adjusters are more likely to seize up than undo.... or adjust themselves...
although I always use a bit of anti seize on Mine, but I'm sure they won't "adjust" themselves.. LOL... otherwise they would be called "self adjusting" LOL..
