OK the story so far,
I changed from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd ground and then drove... came to a halt at lights
checked 2nd and 1st due to grinding noise (not normal, as if i did not clutch).
took off in 1st clutch for 2nd and i feel the whole orientation of the stick clunk out of its selecta..
then i only have one huge 1st gear..
some ppl say its my shift coupling but it looks ok
what do you think.. anyone had this b4??

has the base plate moved or loose????
It is either
1) loose base plate - free, just realign and tighten
2) shot rear coupling - what $30?
3) shot g'box - new g'box, ouch
Check for 1)
If not thatat least try 2)
