Get the car on a Fuel analiser and this will fine tune the carby for you.

You can see what your engine is doing. Change the jetting , have another go and get it running sweet.

If you are not pinging you are ok-ish (could be silent but ... wtf) Try running premium beer through it. Fill up on a Monday and it is not so bad. Use
Caltex Vortex. Only 5c dearer not 10c
