Was looking on Pelican Parts and found this
Helps to work out tyre selection so as you keep the same diameter.
eg
if stock is 165/65/15
then a
195/55/15 is the same
or a
195/50/16
do u have the URL?
cheers

I'm no expert but I think the original tyre size is 165/80/15. Well this is the closest they now make to the old stlye of sizing of tyres. As
long as you aim for a diameter of 25.5 inches.

hmmmm........bugger
I "thought" it was posted

Hmmm.... at work it came up as a web address
here it came up as an excel spread sheet
Can it work for anyone???

I think it is a spread sheet. I got a web page with a link to the spread sheet.
Just plug in your tyre/wheel specifications and it calculates outside diameter, circumference, side wall height etc. I put in 165/80 R15 and it gives
an OD of 25.394".
Does anyone know what was the standard size tyres on a 72 Kombi Crew Cab were?
im pretty sure they are 185/75R14
