ROAD TRIP SPARES

so if I'm going to use/take my bug on longer trips then normal(dubs by the pub or maybe valla)what sort of spares should I have on board?
#1 fan belt.
*spark plugs,dizzy cap(no points soon...thanks brad)
*fuel line
*electrical wire, tape,fuses,bulbs and connectors
*jumper leads
*some motor oil
*tools (plug spanner,flat & phillips screw drivers,some ring spanners,shifter,crimpers,multi grips???
*rags
*the normal tools (jack,wheel spanner,hub-cap pulls and wheel chock)
*??? so this is where I need help if I forgoten something.

Points if you use any electronic replacement. Spare drop in dizzy good.

Manual

Lots of water because even though your vw isnt water cooled you are. Stash one of those big lt springwater under a seat.

cable ties, duct tape, s/s tie wire etc

Headlight globes.

Spare clutch and accelerator cables.

Thats a good listing. Yes include some water as you may need it to cool the fule pump if it gets too hot.

and a funnel for the oil filler tube i hate it when i spill oil on a hot engine.

throw in a couple of tins of spray degreaser from the $2.00 shop.

depending on how far and where you are going, a puncture repair kit perhaps? they are good to have anyhow.

and dont forget the WD40!

i also keep a blanket in the beetle incase of unplanned picnics and crap weather, both of which could happen at any time during a road trip.
