quick question, how often ideally should you change ur oil??

I personally prefer to do the bus and beetle at 5000 k's.

It is not just the k's though, I do the EH every year even if it has only done 1500 k's. Oil breaks down a certain amount over a year through the seasons.

Beetle's don't forget to clean your oil strainer and Kombies, get a good quality oil filter. The German ones with the nut on the bottom make for very easy removal come next oil change.

I also use only the same brand of oil all of the time. Not purely for brand loyalty, but it eliminates the chance of cross contamination between different chemicals in different brand reacting.

No point mentioning the brand as a brand war may ensue. But I do buy in 20 Litre drums to be able to do all 5 of our vehicles (including motorbikes).

I get in done every 3000m or 5000km which for me is every 6mths,but hey thats me get another cupla opinions.On my 1300sp i had before i never changed the oil,i topped it up 1 litre every 1000km so it was changing itself

i change mine every 3 months regardless of how far ive gone (because i can never keep track of how far ive gone) and its a good habit to get into anyhoo.
