hey
we have a 1500 type 3 motor with dual carbs on it.
it is only running on cylinders #3 and #4, #1and #2 are dead.
we have replaced the plugs,leads,condensor,tried a different dizzy,set the timing several times ,done the tappets and it has strong compression
what could be the problem??

is it running realy rough and pushing/bouncing from side to side?
mine with same setup was doing this, a carby jet was stuffed............flooding constantly until hi revs when it kinda stopped

the funny thing is it sound like its running fine but lacks extreme amounts of power (max drivin speed is 30mph).
the carbies where rebuilt will check for jetting

Make sure the all the linkages are hooked up correct.

make sure the vacuum balance lines are not cracked and are tight on the mainifolds etc etc

ok problem solved!!! thanks skewy u made me think i checked the carby we changed the jet in and noticed out the corner of my eye there was no fuel!!!
bloody blocked up at the "T" section!!!!
