I'm doing up an order from this mob and I want a spin-on oil filter pump but there are a few.http://store.cip1.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?
You need to know if its a 3 stud cam, or a 4 stud deep dish cam, these are on the later engines
According to info. at Type2.com, an AD case is a 1600 replacement:
"(Never supplied in new cars -- only sold over the counter. All are
dual-relief with 10mm oil passages)."
no year was given.
hth
thanks modulus, hey Dave Becker how do I find that out about 3 or 4 stud, are they the 4bolts/nuts that I can see on the oil pump plate?
ROB
FORGOT TO ASK...MODULUS is that a good thing or a bad thin about the case?

The only way to be sure if it is a 3 or 4 bolt cam is to pull the oil pump and have a look. You cant be sure that it hasnt been rebuilt.
You are going to have to pull the pump for the new one anyway, so......
With the case as well it "should" be a 8mm stud case saved as opposed to 10mm not saved?
This is also a desirable factor. The 10mm studs grew move and pulled out of the none saved case holes
ok but when I got the motor rebuilt, the guy said he had to put a new/another case in cause the old one was stuff.it cost me $200 and he said it had
case savers...me at that stage said "yeah what ever".but this good right??
ROB
yep
case savers are good
A case with savers and 10mm studs though makes a bad contender for boring for bigger cylinders. 8mm and savers is the choice. 10mm and no savers is
last choice

hopefully this will guide you to the year make. it is accurate for me.
