New Battery
Alita - November 13th, 2002 at 11:10 PM

I think my current battery has worned out.

Ever since I put a newer more powerful engine into my Beetle, the battery has been having a little trouble starting the car. The battery is 6 years old.

I'm going down to Repco tomorrow and buying a new battery and seeing whether it would mean an improvement.

Any advice on what's a good brand to get?

It ort to be worn out after 6 years....

Yeah make sure you get one with the correct sunken terminals and case that uses the stock clamp in your car.

This way it will be safer and wont fall or rattle around.

Yeah
you probabally have higher compression os it "struggles" more.

Just make sure you have the right clamps/terminals to you get a good connection

I think battery terminal covers would be a better choice then the rubber mat. covers don't cost much and have less chance of falling off.
