Anyone out there have experience with both the old and new PDSIT dual carbs?
The older carbs have a few less bits than the later ones (accel pump bleed off, idle bleed off etc).
I have a pair of each and was wondering which would be better to re-build for my new motor?
As far as I can find out they are otherwise interchangable (same throat, main jets, air jets, central idle etc).

The old ones were off a 2 liter:bounce...less to go wrong with em I spose???Your motor should be finished soon then?Hope your having fun...........
Hey,
Thanks Mick, yea the set from you are in much better nic than the ones off the motor.
As you say simpler is better.
As best I can figure all the extras added to the later carbs off the motor only help in very cold climates. They allow you to set much more fuel for
start up and they close off ~20C as the motor warms up. So for most of Australia they will never operate summer or winter.
Yes motor is getting close, parts being sent off to be machined in the next day or so then it's all back together again.
I am still toying with a few oil pump idea's. Will let you know which way I go in the end.
