camber adjustment

hi there

I have a 72 S bug on which i have lower the fron about 50mm by lowering the perch onwhich the spring sits

Needless to say i have a pronounced lean now

What can I do about bring it back to square?

I take it you mean that u want to lower ther rear. Ihave just read in how to hot rod that beetles dont handle that well when angled down as it increases lift of the vehicle therefore if you lower frony you should lower rear? (the way i read it ? ).
The suspension on the rear of my 71 s bug looks to be adjustable by simply twisting a spline on the reer shock absorber. i have not had to do this as yet as my 71 bug is not lowred at the front, but am going to try to use these shocks to lwer my 76 irs rear? I read a thread on here not long that said all u had to do was twist this spline but i am not sure if these shocks are standard as a mech that did my brakes hinted that they weren't stock :beer

Shocks will not lower the rear of the car !

Adjusting the splines means the splines on the torsion bars.:thumb.

To adjust you need to pull half the suspension apart, and to set correctly you really should understand how all the suspension components work first.:thumb

If you were going to improve the handling of the car, you would also fit type 3 torsion bars at the same time as doing this job..

Breville, are you talking about the camber on your front wheels (leaning in at the top), or the difference in height between front and rear ???

Hi guys,
I kinda have a similar question about setting the chamber. I intend to install lowered spring on my SB but I need to set the chamber so the rubber won't rub against the fender.
FYI: Riviera rims with 195/60
Thanx
