I'm helping a friend with his tranporter. The battery light flash for a while then the oil light on the dash keeps on flashing
before you turn it over, and wont start without quickstart sprayed down into the
modifold. Any ideas?
Need a bit more details of the car . Whats the engine code ? ACV AAF AUF etc
Why did u spray the starting stuff down the manifold ? Are u that sure that its the injection system ?
Just check for spark , if thats there check for fuel by taking the fuel line off the inlet to the fuel rail . If its a plastic fuel rail and u think
it might snap then check at the top of the fuel tank . Take the passenger seat out and lift the rubber mat up . There is a black cover held on by 3
phillips head screws . Underneath there will be a plug and 2 hoses . The hoses are black but have coloured markings on them . Blue is return and white
is supply . just quickly turn on ignition there and check .
The other common thing is the ECU relay . Its numbered 30 . I would change that too
The flashing lights i'm told a all cool, most of the time its only been starting on aero start they injected straight into the manifold. Someone
has done some home wiring on it and set up a button, for a starting switch also. I'll listen out for the
pump and change ecu relay, it runs fine for hours once you get it running, so i doubt it would be the pump, I could be wrong.
Now the nrma have told them it was the battery, I don't believe a word of that. It turned over hard for ages and is charging. I'll get the
engine numbers.
