Transporting a shell.

Are there any special hints on transporting a shell on a trailer?

Also, if I use a crane to lift it onto a truck, what would be the best areas to anchor?

It's an oval without fenders... thanks for any advice!

Probabally be better if the doors were in. I Think they would add a fair amount of stiffness to the body

Ive done this several times... get some 4 x 2 timber to lay across the trailer i used a 8 x 6 trailer. The shell will sit ontop of the timber support on the lip of the trailer providing u have atrailer with steel sides that is.

You dont need a crank to lift a Beetle shell just 3 of your mates one on each corner there pretty light.

Take the doors and engine and bonnet lids off as well, makes it much lighter.
