a friend bought an unknown gbox and has it in his trike now
but cant get it into nuetral? it was the same when it was in the car it came out of the only way we could get it onto the car trailer was to put the clutch in
any ideas

Pull the box out and take off the nose cone, the hockey stick may have flipped out of the selectors.
That would be the easy fix, if that's not it, it may have a broken selector.

theyve pulled the nose cone and put them in right but still no go

Yes, it's an easy fix, but the box has tobe pulled down.
If you just want to get it into neutral, remove the fill plug and with a brass rod (or screw driver) you can flick the sliding gear out of engagement.
