Merc Rims info for Kombi's
paulr - February 5th, 2004 at 10:03 AM

Hello All
I am after some info on Mercedes wheels for Bay Kombis. Does anyone know what wheels from what models fit. I have run 15" merc rims in the past but it was more luck than good management. Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
The best Merc rim fit that I've used is 15x6.5 ET37 and 15x7 ET45. I've had 31/10.5 mud terains on the back of a '75 Kombi without rubbing.
Why not try a set of the modified BA Ford rims I'm doing (16x6.5 ET37) absolute perfect fit for all applications. Kruzin Kombi (Col) should be able to verify this soon as he just bought a set off me. I,m putting a set on the Desert Splitty with 245/70 BFG ATs on the back (no gaurd modifications) and 205/80s on front, should have pics by Sat.
Cheers, Ian.

Thanks Ian and Franko
Ian am more than interested in the Falcon 16s but cash is an issue at the moment because I would have to buy tyres as well. The 16s are my longer term plan I reckon. Mind you if someone buys my Sprintstars or Notch it will be a short term plan.

PS Keep uys informed about your desert trip in the bus's

Cheers Paul

Ive got merc rims on my 72. Running 195's on the front and 205's on the back. Got the rims off http://www.kruizinwagon.com.au,  forget how much, but best price I could get at the time.

That was 3 years ago but.
