have a 1960 beetle and tried fitting windscreen last night but couldn't get screen to pop in. Novus tried last night as well but also had same drama is there any secrets or easy way to get the screen to fit.

Check this out. It's for a 1970 beetle. Don't know how different they are.

If you have never fitted a screen before

1. The rubber is fitted to the glass first and put the seal join at the top.

2. use plenty of soapy water to allow it to be pulled in with a nylon cord.

3. does the glass fit in the screen hole on the car did you try that first

They usually aren't that hard..
Its definately a screen for a 60s beetle..?
Maybe the screen was incorrectly made!!!
If its identical to the original, there should be no worries... plenty of soapy water and I always use 5mm pvc covered electrical cable... never had a problem...
Where did the windscreen rubber come from?? Had the Novus guy done any Beetles before??? Its NOT a common thing any more.. windscreen rubbers....
You really have to push the screen & rubber upwards so it seats correctly....
I must confess I haven't done one for 20 years.. I have done ovals, 60s beetles & superbugs... and about to do a 68 soon.
