This is a really stupid question but I don't have a manual for my new split yet and I really want to tighten the quarter window so it stays open while driving without me having to hold it... any help, pleeeease? :jesus

Dosent the latch have a screw knob on it to lock it in place

Well, it actually doesn't have the latch to lock it for starters, but I thought there migth be something you could tighten so the window wasn't so loose and therefore didn't close when you pick up speed.

I looked up inside the door under the window sill and there's the rod that the window is fixed to but there didn't seem to be a bolt there to tighten...

there is a bolt on there with a spring between it!!! (this is from memory!)

Yes, There is a spring with a nut and washer under the pivot pin you can tighten that It is behind the door trim........
My spring was rusted and broken so I replaced it with some 5/8" ruber hose and tightened that up it works well and stays where I put it:thumb
