Just a couple of questions from a learner. Does an dissy out of a 74 1800 kombi suit a 75 2000 kombi? Also does the 1800 solex carbies suit the 2000 engine as I have just purchased another kombi in better condition than the older one? Thankyou in advance.

Distributor will go go in no problem, but the carbies will need modification to suit. They will probably get you out of a bind, but I wouldn't recommend using them without rejetting and changing the venturi sizes to suit the larger motor.

because of the interchangability carbies have been changed back & forward over the years as have jets, probably the easiest way to check where you are at is the main jets , if they have 132.5 stamped on them you will be OK, if they have 130 stamped on them they are probably 1800 & will only be safe around town, no long trips because the mixture will be too lean
