is the 2.0L kombi 091 box the same as the 4sp caravelle box?

yea its got 091 box.i think the only difference between the two all up is exhaust and other little bits and pieces.at least thats what haynes says for 79-82 aircooleds.HTH

No the gearbox is different, the Caravelle 4 speed is a side shift, has hydraulic clutch and the 4 gear ratio is higher also.

Dave, awesome....is the way they mount the same? Is all the other internals interchangable? a side shift and hydraulic clutch is ideal for me.
