Attached a couple of pix of the floorpan around the seat - couple of nasty splits, and the seat is heading downwards!! could of been a touch
embarrasing if I hadn't noticed it early enough
anyone know someone who could slap a patch on till I can afford a floorpan replacement? (which won't be for several months) in the sydney northern
beaches area preferable
the only alternative is going to be pop rivet a patch on and glass it up to keep the water out - which is a serious bodge!!
cheers
Terry
couln't attach 2 pix, so here's the other!!
It might not be, but is that a big slab of fiberglass near the rust. I think you might need to rethink the replacement panel timing!:cry

Oh yes! - back half of the pan is well glassed up, pretty solid though - much better than the front half which seems to be made out of the thinnest steel known to man!

Mate i know you may not have planed to fix the floor pan properly yet but that looks Very VERY dangerous
indeed, time for a big make-over. my father almost had a similar problem in our old rustbucket/cortina. took it to his mechanic for a service, mechanic pointed out that he could see the road beneath the drivers seat. not a good sight.
I am going to have a good rust free and repair free pan and chassis available soon
Interested let me know.
Hi Silver
definately interested, give me the excuse to do a proper job on the poor little beast - it's a 69, so I assume I need a pan to match?
give me a shout when you're ready - terry@dtsband.com
oop's my pan is a 66'
bugger!
assume I need a 68 or 69 - is that right?
looks like it's going to a cut and shut job with some new halves
