Does anyone know of a mufflers system that gives great performance and a great note at the same time, I have a 1916 vw Oztrike ( I dont mind if its loud ) .

I will jump in and say a fully merged header as opposed to a semi merged is better.

One that is of equal length and FLOWS into the collector rather than 90 degree angles.

Stay away from the Thunderbirds etc

If you have a trike then you have room - buy a good collector and get some one to make a decent one.

A S&S may be an alternative to not building one - but expect to pay a few $$$ for one

If its for a trike, then use a Baja/buggy style of exhaust. Its no use trying to use merged exhausts suited for a car as they will not suit the rear of the trike.

I have a thunderbird Baja system for my buggy's 1916 and they work very well.

Give Stan Pobjoy a call on 02 66543694 he has been doing plenty of trike motors so he could advise.

Stay away from the duel cannon exhausts !
