Give Vintage VW a call, they sell them.

Have you priced them here from a local VW business??

OZ Towdster - April 27th, 2004 at 03:53 PM

Sam CB front brakes are just late split/early bay front brakes

VWFOOL - April 27th, 2004 at 03:54 PM

i think its cheaper to get them straight from CB im pretty sure

Um, are we talking CB Performance in the US

or CB as in Aussie Country Buggy?

Craig Torrens - April 27th, 2004 at 05:17 PM

CB as in US !

VWFOOL wants dropped spindles not raised spindles !!!

I would guess they will take the original beetle drums.

VWFOOL - April 27th, 2004 at 05:24 PM

ah i see where u could hav been mistaken
CB performance in the states

vw54 - April 27th, 2004 at 06:15 PM

No the spindles are amde to suit early origional brake drums. You dont have to buy there brake kit

Sam give Vintage a call 02-9789-1777 they have them sitting in stock.
I am sure you will find the price Ok after you consider freight, currency conversion Import taxes etc etc.
And if theres a problem ( there wont be ) that after sales service.

dont forget you have to get the King and Links set up and or refurbished as well.

Sam I have a show condition front beam for a link pin beetle thats been professionally lowered by Richard at V-force. Has Avis adjusters, raised shock towers (so you can run a standard shock), turned and rewelded bump stops. Comes complete with trailing arms. I have some recently done K&L spindles I can throw in too. The front end cost me $880 to get done. I'd be happy with $750 to $800 as I've put the Ghia back to standard height.

Check the price of dropped spindles and add on new K&L's and your in this ball park anyway with no height adjustment available.

U2U me if your interested.

Cheers

Steve

From April Hot VWs - CB drop spindles for Drum Brake Link pin front end $209.95. Front beam narrowed 2" with adjusters $169.95. Those are US $. Ive found that sending it to someone in the US then getting them to ship USPS is a lot cheaper than shipping UPS.

I cant believe the price of the beams, even with my South Pacific Peso they are pretty affordable...

Sam Its they will be ok with original brakes. Get them Direct, they will cost about 105US for freight. I got mine landed for 388 Australian dollars, but that was when the dollar was 76cents....

Nectar!
