i am looking at buying an engine i was led to believe was a 1600 type 3 but there is no engine no below the generator stand and the only numbers we can find are on the crankcase rear that is 41AS and on the side and that is xxxxxxxxxxxE.... any held to identify this i have looked at the info on engine numbers but it seems to be in the wrong place and there is no letter prefix for the numbers but a letter at the rear....
p.s all the tinware has been change from type 3 to beetle tin...
