Hello folks,

Have'nt posted 4 a while , been a bit busy trying to make a crust. Seem too have got a bit of a problem with my 98 transporter work horse, the transmission is starting to make a slight klunk from 1st to 2nd. I was told the cost for a reco 4speed auto transmission is at least $5000. wtf!.
I think at that price I might have to drive it till the auto totally craps out.
Any one had any similar experiences, any other vw transmission people that are recommended?
