is there a difference between a 67 and 69 pan?

as they're both swing arm, i'm thinking I can swap them over - ie put my 69 body, and all the rest of the car, on a 67 pan

am I right!

cheers

The bulk heads have a different spacing on them where the front torsion bar bolts on.

The distance between centers is different so you carnt change the front ends over.

Yes the 1967 chassis was the last year of the link pin front end [in Australia] - Early model Beetle -
the 1969 had the late model ball joint front end .. IMHO a much better suspension .
The last German made link pin front end was in the 1965 beetle.. Australian made Beetles were 2 years behind the German upgrade....
All USA Beetles had the IRS rear end from 1969>.....
Only Supers had them in Australia, plus the 1976 standard Beetle.

You must have pulled the odd Beetle apart Dave!!
