split straight axel conversion questions

i am going to do a staight axel conversion on my 65 bus i was wondering what parts best suit this to get it to run with disc brakes.
i allready have a 68 front beam complete with discs, lowering kit and brake booster ready to go in.
i have also found out that you can use the standard box by flipping the ring and pinion to get the car going forward again after the removal of the reduction hubs .
is flipping the ring and pinnion the only way without changing the box, if so how is this done ?
