Got a starter motor too, wack it all together on the ground with some gas and a battery and kick it in the guts.:thumb

You will need a gearbox, as the starter motor bolts to the gearbox and uses a bush in the housing for a bearing..
So either a full gearbox or just the bell housing if someone has cut an old gearbox up...

In the 60s, You could buy a rope with a Tee handle on it, like on a mower, and You wrapped it around the generator pulley and started the engine like that... I don't think it would be possible to start a 1600 like that but maybe an oldie.. might start.. pour a bit of fuel down the throat of the carby.. or fill the carby up with fuel... otherwise You would be pulling for a while.. You would still need the battery for the ignition.. a 6v Battery too... and 6v starter if You have a gearbox...
