negative battary lead hot.
gen cover hot
reg hot
any ideas?

I found the same once poor earth size and the bolt was rusty ,I ran a 10mm earth and a stainless steel bolt ground the spot were I bolted the earth
lead .The regulator was in poor cod as well so I replaced it at the same time no probs after that .seagull
