ive just taken the seats out of my kombi and found my worst nightmares come true. i already knwe that they were replacements, but what i didnt kno
was that they had no rails and were poorly bolted down - on the drivers side the whole almost missed the steel and on the passenger side the mounts
have been made by the owner and are unmentionable. where can i get the part of the rail that attaches to the seat and what does it look like?
pleeeze help!
oops - forgot to mention. the car in question is a 76 panelvan

The original Bay kombi drivers seat has integral rails which slide along a seated guide on the floor. the passenger side had n rails , it just clipped
in.
If you have non original seats the rails were plobably removed becase they made the seat too high.
You will probably need to either
-rebolt the seats a but more securely in your preferred position.
-Find a new set of seats from a wrecker that are low enough with the rails attached
I am using diahatsu charade seats with the legs removed from the rails on the outside and modified on the inside
very comfy
Jeff
thanks for the advice jeff, the seats i have in are reasonably low, and they're really comfy, so il keep them if i can.
