Trying to I.D. motor

I got this motor with I.D. plate starting with - AP ######

According to this chart: (there is no AP)

G'day,

AP means 1800 kombi motor (type IV).

I have one in my bus, and a spare in my garage. Twin Solex carbies. I know what you mean about not finding AP listed anywhere. Even in the Haynes manual, the 1800 code is something else, but AP is mentioned in passing in the text itself at the start of the chapter. I always thought that AW codes were seen everywhere else (instead of AP) because they all had some level of pollution control equipment or something overseas.
