O.K. I've got the Bay airborn, and want to get the sump plug out, but the thing looks like its been attacked with a screwdriver at some stage. My
Sump plug key looks like its going to have a hard time of it. Anyone got a tip?
P.S. What do your sump plug keys look like? Mines a standard supercheap job. Do I need something special?
I dont know but after 21 hits on this here is a tip (?) when you get it off weld a nut to it then you can get it off with a spaner .Um did I help !
Yeah!!! Good tip. I drained it over the oil sieve instead tho'. Cant get the little bugger out at all! (Some genius had tried a few times apparently
with limited success, 'cause the profile is pretty shot, and the sump key just pops right out).
Are these pretty standard thread and size? Anyone replaced the screwdriver type sump plug with something more robust?
