How hard to rebuild a 34 pict
bigbruvabob - May 30th, 2004 at 08:05 AM

Hi guys need to do something about the 34 pict in andreas roadster as it is just not cutting it with the new motor. There is just about no adjustment noticable in the idle mixture screw and when driving the caerby seems like it either on or off. is it a big job to rebuild this carby myself and is there a site that shows how. i would like to just by a new one butn the 495 big ones is out of reach at the moment. cheers david

you can get a kit for around $35.00 and do it your self .I had one the other day that the main jet was not working 3 hours later we found that the *line has a ball bearing in it .this was a pain to get out .
give it a go your self just take a few photos with the dig as you go !

Its pretty easy, basically consists of changing the gaskets and the jets and float valve. The hard bit is fixing up the throttle shaft, u can get it sleeved at a carby shop, or you can do a bodgy and just silicone the ends.
