transaxle mounts

heu guys and gals i need some helpfull advice . I have just taken the transaxle out of my 71 superbug with the intention of fitting it into my project which has a 76 chassis but the transaxle mounts are different. the trans has a rubber mount wit a protruding rubber oval in the middle that fits into a plte with said oval shape cut out of it that is welded to the chassis of the 71. the 76 does not have this but instead has a different mount with three screws that is bolted to the bottom of the 76 chassis with two large bolts. My question is can i buy a mount with the oval cut out to bolt on to the 76 chassis or is this something i will have to make. cheers david.

um if you purchase a flat type mount beetle ,this should still bolt up to you super bug box .
The mount from the super bug was made like that to remove stress from the box *nose *

if you are in the shit I will post a photo .

Hi

Just swap nose cones over and under the bellhousing use the earlier mounts and frame, they are much sturdier.
