solvents

Hi everyone i need a lil bit of help

the last idiot owner of my beetle decided in his infinate wisdom to fill a couple of panels and the heater channels(the ones that run along the floor pan ) with orange packing foam stuff.

one problem though, he blocked the damn drain holes in the process (i dont think water squirting out of a paint bubble that has recently formed when popped is a good thing)

my Question is, how to i disolve this damn stuff

Help
Danielle

Go to Bunnings (or any hardware store), find the cans of Expanda-Foam, and read the clean-up instructions on the can. That should tell you which solvent (if any) will do the trick.

Try some accetone ( or nail polish remover is a weeker form for a tiral) I know it doslves styrene really fast like acid.

Good Luck

Acetone will disolve polyurethane foam
(No Smoking near this stuff ) the goo left behind is best removed with boiling hot water and clothes washing powder
