Hey,
Does anyone know of some you-beaut way of removing a splitty steering wheel? I have three to remove so if there is some kind of contraption available it would save me alot of cussin'.....

Go and buy a pulley extractor.
It has 3 or 2 arms that will fit under the steering wheel and a threaded section that you tighten against the actual steering colum, keep the nut on so you dont damage the thread.
Should only cost about $30 from any motor factors.

Cheers

Isnt a puller likely to damage the plastic covering over the splitty wheel? Mine is cracked already but I wouldnt like to try this method on a new one!

Cheers

If you do find a puller that will fit.... its the only tool to use... get some bits of 3 or 4 mm thick metal to put under the jaws between the plastic section of the wheel to spread the load so it does not chip and splinter other wise you will damage the wheel.

The wheel is held on with a taper and keyway

If by any small chance when you get the wheel to move make sure the nut is on there when you give a good pull ,I seen some guys knock there teeth out in the car parks , hee hee
